It’s really important for us as a band to use our concerts to encourage and fire up our fans and also to set many of them free for a while from their sad everyday lives. We are a Christian band and we believe in Jesus. For us, the Bible is God’s word, the plumb-line for our lives that gives us perspective and support. We’re not interested in any “rockstar” image; what we want is to make friends – friends for us and friends for Jesus – friends we like and friends who like us. That’s why we really hope that a few Godly vibes will jump from our music onto our fans. We want to inspire people not to be satisfied with what is “normal” but rather to seek after the extraordinary. However, our own experience is that you can’t buy ‘extraordinary’ with money; it comes from a personal friendship with Jesus Christ.
People often ask us: what does our name mean? Well, we believe that in our 100 MPH lives, we are constantly bombarded by a deluge of information, trends and things being manipulated by the spirit of the times. Because of this, it is very difficult to know what is right, what is wrong and whether there is any value in living. And for many people they simply don’t care anymore. They have been “brainwashed” – and their brains have been washed in the filthy water of the spirit of the times.
People also often ask us which church we belong to. We’re actually very proud of the fact that the individual band-members come from different churches and different denominations. What makes us the same is that we’ve all accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives. That’s why we are not advertising any particular church: – our goal is to encourage you to be a follower of Jesus.
